NAPLES — ACI Worldwide has helped usher the National Bank of Kuwait into the era of SWIFT Global Payments Innovation services for its customers, utilizing the company’s platform to allow its banking customers to benefit from same-day transfer and use of funds, reduced timelines and greater transparency.
A long-time ACI customer, NBK joins a growing Global Payments Innovation community that includes nearly 300 banks, according to a statement. Founded in Brussels in 1973, SWIFT (Society for the Worldwide Interbank Financial Community) is a co-operative organization dedicated to the promotion and development of standardized global interactivity for financial transactions.
ACI Worldwide, the first certified vendor of SWIFT GPI solutions and a SWIFT partner for more than 20 years, provides banks around the world real-time, cross-border payment opportunities with a direct connection into the SWIFT central database to monitor inbound and outbound GPI transactions.
“Effectively leveraging the richer data of SWIFT GPI messages will allow NBK to further optimize the customer experience and differentiate against competitors,” says Craig Ramsey, head of ACI real-time payments, in a statement. “NBK now delivers customers greater transparency and traceability in cross-border transactions, which facilitates better communication and reconciliation for the bank’s customers.”
